Expressionist painter Martin Lubner doesn’t hide his emotions in his solo exhibition “Doubts and Fears” — now on exhibit at the First Independent Gallery (FIG) through July 16th. The paintings on display revolve around the daily activities and communal understanding of friends, family, lost loved ones and inanimate objects. The 80 year-old painter draws imagery from life and gives the viewer a deeper understanding of the wealth and knowledge of a long-term artist. Dig deep and calm yourselves with his work, it’s worth the visit.
