A 75-year-old man who went missing in the Exposition Park area of Los Angeles has been found, authorities said Friday.

James Ernest Smith was last seen about 6 a.m. Wednesday near West 35th Place at Denker Avenue, near the Betty Hill Senior Citizen Center, and authorities sought public help to find him.

On Friday morning, the California Highway Patrol, which issued a Silver Alert at the request of the Los Angeles Police Department, reported that Smith had been found. Other details were not released.
