

A man was found dead in Hawthorne Tuesday, sparking a sheriff’s department investigation.
The man was found dead at about 2:40 p.m. in the area of West 120th Street and Crenshaw Boulevard, near Holly Park, according to Deputy Morgan Arteaga of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives were called to the scene assist the Hawthorne Police Department in the investigation, Arteaga said.
The man’s name and his manner of death were not immediately known.
