

A 22-year-old man was charged with murder Tuesday in connection with the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old boy in Anaheim in June.
Christian Alberto Nava was arrested Friday in Anaheim, Anaheim Police Department Sgt. Shane Carringer said. He was being held on $1 million bail.
Police were called about 12:20 a.m. June 27 to the 2200 block of West Colchester Drive, near Brookhurst Street, regarding the shooting that left Johnny Avalos of Anaheim dead, Carringer said.
The Orange County District Attorney’s Office also filed a sentencing enhancement for the personal use of a gun.
