Starting Friday evening and through Sunday, the Metro A (Blue) Line will not run between Seventh Street/Metro Center and Washington stations, and the E (Expo) Lines will not run between Seventh Street/Metro Center and LATTC/Ortho Institute Station.
The weekend service interruption, which begins at 9 p.m. Fridays and runs through end of service Sundays, will occur again starting on Oct. 1, Oct. 15 and Oct. 29, as construction crews work on connecting the lines to the Regional Connector Transit Project.
During the closures, free buses will be available to take people between Seventh Street/Metro Center, Pico, Grand/LATTC and San Pedro stations on the A (Blue) Line and between Seventh Street/Metro Center and Pico stations on the E (Expo) Lines. Metro ambassadors and signs will also be at Metro stations to help riders find the nearest bus stops.
People can take bus line 859 to and from Seventh Street/Metro Station, and a shuttle will be available to bring passengers to and from the LATTC/Ortho Station to the Seventh Street/Metro Center Station. Metro customers can also take the J (Silver) Line, the Los Angeles Department of Transportation DASH F Line and use the Metro Bike Share program to get to stations during the closure.
Starting on Thursday and through Fall 2022, the free L (Gold) Line bus shuttle will change routes from First Street to Temple Street as crews connect the Regional Connector tracks with the L Line along First Street.
