

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped four-tenths of a cent Wednesday to $4.401, its lowest amount since Aug. 28.
The average price is two-tenths of a cent less than one week ago but 1 cent more than one month ago and $1.18 higher than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has risen $1.169 since the start of the year.
The Orange County average price dropped three-tenths of a cent to $4.358, its lowest amount since Aug. 25. It is six-tenths of a cent less than one week ago and three-tenths of a cent lower than one month ago but $1.163 more than one year ago. It has risen $1.15 since the start of the year.
