

A woman was killed and three other people suffered serious injuries Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Long Beach.
The crash was reported at about 1:40 a.m. at the intersection of Pacific Avenue and 21st Street, Long Beach police Lt. Paul Esko told City News Service.
The woman was a passenger in one of the vehicles and was pronounced dead at the scene, Esko said. Three other people were taken by paramedics to hospitals with serious injuries, he said.
The intersection remained closed to traffic as the investigation continued, Esko said.
