A major emergency fire damaged a commercial building in Panorama City Friday, but no one was hurt.
At least 105 firefighters fought the blaze at the one-story structure 14621 W. Titus St., which was reported at 12:09 a.m., said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas PrangFe.
Firefighters stopped the forward progress of the flames by about 2:20 a.m., and some personnel remained on the scene afterward, looking for hot spots, the LAFD reported.
“While no official `knockdown’ has been declared by the incident commander due to inaccessible pockets of fire within the debris, firefighters are commencing overhaul operations and will eventually leave a fire company on `fire watch’ through the morning,” Prange said in a statement.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
