

Firefighters Friday quickly extinguished a “contents” fire in one unit of a commercial building in the Pico-Union area, and no one was hurt.
The fire was reported in the 2200 block of West Pico Boulevard at about 1:30 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The cause of the fire, which was extinguished in about 15 minutes, was under investigation.
