A half-dozen drivers have been arrested in Glendale in recent days for reckless driving and illegal street racing, police reported Wednesday.
The Glendale Police Department said the six drivers’ vehicles were impounded between June 29 and July 11, showing the city’s zero-tolerance policy for those offenses.
The oldest of the six, a 48-year-old motorist, was arrested at 4:45 p.m. June 29 at Brand Boulevard and Colorado Street for an illegal speed exhibition, police said.
Two juveniles were arrested at midnight July 9 at Bagdad Place and Verdugo Road, also for an illegal speed contest, police said.
The other three drivers were arrested for reckless driving, police said.
