A motorcyclist killed in a single-vehicle traffic crash in Irwindale was publicly identified Monday.
Hugo Rodriguez was 49 years old, according to the coroner’s office.
Rodriguez was riding a white 2017 BMW motorcycle just after 5 p.m. Friday westbound on Live Oak Avenue, transitioning onto Longden Avenue, when he lost control, struck the center divider and then a light standard, Irwindale police Sgt. Rudy Gatto said.
After Rodriguez was ejected from the BMW, the bike struck a parked vehicle. Paramedics dispatched to the crash scene pronounced him dead at the scene, Gatto said.
“There were no other parties or vehicles involved in the traffic crash, other than the parked vehicle,” he said.
Irwindale police urged anyone with any information regarding the crash to call them at 626-430-2244.
