

Two people, described as males between the ages of 15 and 20, were shot dead in Compton during a shooting that left one person in critical condition and another person in stable condition at area hospital, the Sheriff’s Department said Sunday.
The shooting was reported just before 5:30 p.m. Saturday in the 15100 block of South Lime Avenue, according to Deputy Eric Ortiz of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
Both males, between the ages of 15 and 20 were pronounced dead at the scene, Ortiz said.
Shortly afterward, deputies received information of two additional gunshot victims at an area hospital. One of the victims was in critical condition, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso and the other victim, with a gunshot wound to the upper torso, was listed in stable condition, the Sheriff’s Information Bureau reported.
“There is no suspect or vehicle information at this time and murder weapon remains outstanding,” according to a news statement. “The investigation is in the preliminary stages and it is unknown if this shooting is gang related.”
