

Homicide investigators from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are looking into the shooting death of a man in Monrovia.
At approximately 8:19 p.m. on Dec. 23, Monrovia Police responded to the 400 block of West Duarte Road, between Mayflower and Magnolia avenues, where they found the victim inside the location lying on the ground, unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by Monrovia Fire Department personnel.
Detectives are canvassing the area for potential witnesses.
