

A familiar face from “The Hangover” film trilogy, comedy series “Community,” and the all-Asian cast Hollywood move “Crazy Rich Asians,” would be Ken Jeong, the well-loved Korean-American actor, host, and comedian. Ken Jeong is one of the most popular names among Asian American celebrities. CONTRIBUTED PHOTO A fun fact to always note about Jeong is that he worked as a physician before becoming an actor.
Though he does not work in the medical field anymore, he continues to renew his license and is happily also married to a fellow doctor with whom he has twin daughters. He discovered his love for acting and improv while earning his pre-med degree at Duke University and even reached a crossroads on what to do for a living, especially since there were few Asian American actors at the time.
Thirty years later, Jeong is now one of the best-known Asian American public figures, and currently has 111 acting credits to his name and with no signs of stopping.
