

A thriving actor in the entertainment industry has recently passed away due to a chronic illness that most men battle quietly and fearfully; his name is “Chadwick Boseman.” When you think of Boseman, you remember “Black Panther,” “42,” and “Get on Up.” Boseman’s passing has brought light to medical illnesses not only in entertainment but in African American communities. Boseman is an example of living a quiet life with a condition that can be crippling and life changing. “Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016 and battled with it these last four years as it progressed to stage IV,” the statement read. “A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much.” (Sims, David).
