When Ronald Reagan was shot, it seemed like Republicans and Democrats set aside their differences. When John F. Kennedy’s fate was not yet known, people began to grieve together. When Dwight Eisenhower had heart attacks, when Franklin Roosevelt had numerous health issues, Americans seemed to rally. When we support each other, America is strong.
