The event is being held from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at 1327 S. San Gabriel Blvd. According to a news release, the coronavirus pandemic has trigged a hunger epidemic across the San Gabriel Valley, where one in four children does not know where their next meal is coming from, so Tzu Chi is doubling its efforts to provide food to San Gabriel Valley families. This giveaway is first-come, first-served. Each car will receive a box of fresh produce, a box of non-perishable dry goods, a backpack filled with school supplies and 2020 census materials in multiple languages, as well as a face shield and face masks.
