

Trafficcalming and control devices were installed last Friday in front of theStarbucks located on Foothill Boulevard. The City of Monrovia reports that sinceStarbucks opened in 2016, there have been “issues related to illegal left turnsinto and out of that location.” The city hopes the new traffic controls willprevent illegal left turns.
Whenthe location first opened, a different traffic control device called“turtle shells” were installed to but they were removed for being ineffectiveand popping tires.
Thefinal plans for the new installations were reviewed and approved by the TrafficSafety Committee and a contractor hired by Starbucks installed them.
