

BetweenSaturday, June 20, and Tuesday morning, June 23, Monrovia residents reportedsightings of an adult mountain lion in the area of the 800 block of West OliveAvenue and the 600 block of South Monterey Avenue, which is a residentialneighborhood. The California Department of Fish and Game Warden has beennotified and are en route to evaluate the situation.
Residentsare cautioned to be extra vigilant and to not leave pets or small childrenunattended. If you see the mountain lion in your yard, make loud noises,avoid approaching the animal, and notify the Monrovia Police Departmentimmediately at (626) 256-8000.
