Last week, Monrovia High School seniors had a rather unique experience.
The Class of 2020 was received those lawn signs we told you about during a drive-thru celebration where school teachers, board members and the superintendent congratulated each senior as they drove through the school at parade pace.
Thirteen years of school and the grand finale was supposed to be their senioryear — prom, graduation, getting yearbooks and friends signing them — butCOVID-19 changed all that.
Lawn signs were also distributed to seniors from Canyon Oaks andMountain Park high schools.
The enthusiasm for the soon-to-be graduates was electrifying lastThursday as a long line of cars was guided through a carefully arranged routeto receive their lawn sign to show the city how proud the parents of thesegrads are.
