Two fatalities and 58 current cases of COVID-19 were reported late Friday, according to Lisa Derderian, Pasadena public information officer.

Derderian told Pasadena Independent Saturday morning that one male in his late 40s and another elderly female had died. “Both had underlying health issues so we are awaiting the coroners report if their death is associated with COVID or result of it.”

“Seven senior care facilities also have one or more positive cases of staff and/or residents,” Derderian said in an email statement Saturday.
