Every month, a dedicated group of readers meets at the Arcadia Public Library to enjoy a lively discussion about a specially selected book. The Adult Book Discussion Group has been getting together on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 10 am for years to talk about that particular month’s selection, chosen by one of the Arcadia Public Library’s professional staff. Multiple copies are available in the Library and sets of previous months’ books can be checked out by book clubs for their own use.
The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 25: the featured book is “Song of the Jade Lily,” by Kirsty Manning, described as “a lush and beautiful story of friendship, motherhood, and the price of love, beginning in wartime Shanghai and continuing into the present.” In March, the group will be reading “The Last Days of Café Leila,” by Donia Bijan; in April “After Life,” by Rhian Ellis will be featured. The group meets in the Library’s Conference Room at 10 a.m.
Call (626) 821-5569 or stop by the Arcadia Public Library for more information and for a list of this year’s titles.
