The Arcadia High School Orchestras will celebrate their 26 Annual Benefit Dinner and Recital on Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020. This fundraising event is held annually at the Arcadia Masonic Center.
Their theme for this year’s event is “A Giant Leap For Stringkind!” The evening begins with browsing for deals at their silent auction while enjoying appetizers, then a catered dinner, followed by entertainment featuring string ensembles from all four Arcadia High School Orchestras.
As an annual tradition, they always invite an guest artist to perform as well. This year’s guest artist performance will feature the Theremin. The only instrument played without touching the instrument itself. The grand finale that showcases all 250 orchestra performers surrounding the guests. Funds raised from this event provide orchestra necessities (coaching, musical instruments, materials, and supplies) that may not otherwise be available to the orchestra program. There are four ways to support the event: 1) purchase event tickets; 2) purchase program book advertisement; 3) become a benefactor; or 4) donate silent auction items. Premium seating will cost $65 and the reserved seating will cost $55. The deadline for ticket purchase is Feb. 23.
