United States senator and former presidential candidate Kamala Harris endorsed Charlotte “Char” Bland for her campaign to the Pasadena City Council District 4.
“I am proud to endorse Charlotte ‘Char’ Bland for Pasadena City Council,” said Senator Harris. “Char is committed to fighting for healthier communities, and her fresh approach and leadership will be a tremendous benefit to the city council. Please join me in supporting Char for Pasadena City Council.”
The second African American woman and first South Asian American senator in history, Harris serves as a United States senator for California. She is a lifelong public servant, formerly running for president in the 2020 democratic primary and serving as district attorney of the city and county of San Francisco in 2003 and California attorney general from 2011 to 2017.
“Senator Harris has been a champion in fighting for the rights of all communities to thrive,” Char Bland said. “I’m deeply honored to earn her support for my election to the City Council to bring the positive change Pasadena needs.”
