Nov.14

At 7:54 p.m., an officer knew of a subjectliving at a residence in the 400 block of Monrovista who had a warrant for herarrest. Officers arrived at the residence and identified the subject. She wasarrested and taken into custody.

At 9:07 p.m., an officer was on patrol in the1700 block of South Myrtle when he noticed a bicyclist riding at night withoutlights. He stopped the subject and a computer check revealed he had a warrantfor his arrest. The subject was arrested and taken into custody.

At 5:06 p.m., a manager from a business in the1600 block of South Mountain called to report a theft. The manager reported twoemployees were being detained in the office for stealing store merchandise. Anofficer arrived and conducted an investigation. At the completion of theinvestigation the two employees were issued citations for petty theft.

At 5:57 p.m., an employee from a business in the100 block of West Duarte called to report a theft. A male adult entered thebusiness, ordered fries and handed the cashier three one-dollar bills. Thecashier opened the register and the subject reached over the counter and took$60.00 dollars from the cash drawer. The subject ran out of the business andentered a waiting pick-up truck. The investigation is continuing.

At 6:01 p.m., a caller reported that a femaledriver was driving in the 700 block of East Foothill when she fell asleep andstruck three parked vehicles. Police officers as well as Paramedics respondedand treated the driver at the scene. The driver had two warrants one for drugsand one for burglary. She was arrested and taken into custody.

At 7:31 p.m., officers responded to a residencein the 200 block of West Colorado on the report of vandalism. The victimreported someone threw a rock through the front window of his residence,shattering the double pane glass. Officers searched the area for the suspect,but were unable to locate anyone. The investigation is continuing.

At 8:01 p.m., an employee of a store in the 400block of West Huntington reported that two male Hispanic subjects had just fledthe store taking multiple bottles of vitamins and pills without paying. Theinvestigation is continuing.

At 9:27 p.m., an officer was patrolling the areaof Myrtle and Duarte when he saw a female subject on a bicycle commit a VehicleCode violation. He stopped the bicyclist and a computer check revealed she hada warrant for her arrest. The subject was arrested and taken into custody.

At 10:43 p.m., an officer was patrolling the 200block of Railroad when he saw a subject he recognized from previous contact. Acomputer check revealed he had a warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia.The subject was stopped and found to be in possession of methamphetamine and apipe. The subject was taken into custody without incident.

At 10:48 p.m., an officer was patrolling the1600 block of South Mayflower when he saw a bicyclist commit a Vehicle Codeviolation. He stopped the subject, and a computer check revealed he had awarrant for his arrest. He was also found to be in possession of Heroin and twohypodermic syringes. The subject was arrested and taken into custody withoutincident.

At 4 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residencein the 300 block of West Walnut regarding a domestic violence. The male victimcalled to report the female suspect would not leave his residence. Officersresponded and determined the male and female were in a dating relationship andgot into an argument over alleged infidelity. The female became physicallyaggressive toward the male and scratched him on his chest with her nails. Theinjuries were moderate and visible. The female was arrested and taken intocustody.

At 1 p.m., an employee from a business in the600 block of West Huntington called to report a theft. An adultAfrican-American male entered the store and approached a display rack. Thesubject grabbed an I-Phone 11, pulled the security cable off and fled thelocation. The investigation is continuing.

Nov.18

At 8:58 a.m., an officer was patrolling the areaof Huntington and Encino when he saw a driver commit a vehicle code violation.A traffic stop was conducted and a computer check revealed he had 2 outstandingwarrants for his arrest. The subject was arrested per the authority of thewarrants and taken into custody.

At 10:55 a.m., an employee from a hotel in the900 block of South Fifth called to report vandalism. The employee heard someonebreaking glass in a room. He went to the room and saw the occupant leave outthe front door. The employee looked inside the room and saw the window wasshattered, the fluorescent lights were shattered, the sheets were hanging outof the window, and there were swastika’s drawn on the lamp shade and on thewalls. Officers responded and conducted an investigation. Information wasobtained on the subject’s identity. The investigation is continuing.

At 11 a.m., an employee from a business in the600 block of West Huntington called to report a male adult took merchandisewithout paying for it. Officers arrived and located a subject matching thedescription given by the employee. The subject was detained and the stolenitems were recovered. Further investigation revealed the suspect had twooutstanding warrants for his arrest. The subject was arrested and taken to theMonrovia Jail for booking.

At 3:01 p.m., officers were dispatched to abusiness in the 500 block of West Huntington regarding a theft. The callerreported a female white in her 20s had concealed some merchandise and left thelocation without paying for the items. She was last seen walking west throughthe parking lot. Officers did an area check and located the female. She did nothave any stolen property in her possession but she did have methamphetamine.The suspect was arrested and taken into custody.

At 6:40 p.m., officers responded to a businessin the 100 block of West Foothill regarding a robbery that just occurred. A femalesuspect stole merchandise from the store and when she was approached by twoloss prevention employees outside of the store, a dark grey or silver vehicledrove up and two males were inside. One of the male subjects exited from thedriver’s seat, approached one of the loss prevention officers and brandished ahand gun. All three subjects drove away in the vehicle. Monrovia Detectivesinvestigated the robbery and later located and arrested the three subjects in anearby city.

At 9:11 p.m., an employee from a business in the100 block of West Foothill called to report they had a shoplifter detained intheir office. An officer arrived and conducted an investigation. The shoplifteradmitted to stealing items and she was issued a citation in the field andreleased.

At 6:02 a.m., an officer was patrolling the 700block of South Fifth when he saw a single vehicle non-injury traffic collision.He stopped and assisted the driver. A utility vehicle struck a fire hydrantcausing moderate damage. Monrovia Fire Department and Public Works responded aswell.

Nov.19

At 7:46 a.m., a resident in the 700 block ofWildrose called to report his vehicle was broken into while it was parked infront of his home. He locked the doors to his vehicle at 11 p.m. the nightbefore and made sure the windows were rolled up. At approximately 6:30 a.m., hecame out and saw that his vehicle had been ransacked. There were no signs offorced entry. This investigation is continuing.

At 8:06 a.m., a resident in the 400 block ofLotone called to report a theft. Items were taken from his unlocked vehicle. Hereviewed his RING camera and saw the following: At approximately 3:38 a.m., amale subject, 20 to 25 years of age, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt enteredhis vehicle which was left unlocked. The male subject took his blue toothspeaker and some additional items. The investigation is continuing.

At 7:38 p.m., a resident in the 600 block ofWest Lemon called to report a theft from her vehicle. The victim left her Nikoncamera and equipment in her unlocked vehicle. Approximately $2,700 worth ofcamera equipment was stolen between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. The investigation iscontinuing.

Nov.20

At 7:10 a.m., a passerby called to report awindow to the front of a business in the 400 block of West Huntington wasshattered. Officers arrived and saw the shattered window. They cleared the businessand did not locate anyone inside. The business had been ransacked and there wasa roll of nickels lying outside the shattered window in a pile of glass. Theinvestigation is continuing.
