Pasadena Police Investigate Dead Body Found On Angeles Crest Highway

Pasadena Police Homicide Detectives are investigating the unknown cause of death of a male, located on the Angeles Crest Highway, Marker 26.8, on Nov. 6, 2019.

Witnesses, who were in a vehicle traveling on Angeles Crest Highway, noticed a body on the side of the highway. The witnesses stopped and called 9-1-1 at approximately 1:13 a.m. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched and arrived on scene at approximately 1:15 a.m.

Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel also responded and pronounced death at approximately 1:31 a.m.

It was determined that the stretch of roadway where the body was found was within the City of Pasadena’s jurisdiction. Pasadena Police arrived on scene at approximately 1:55 a.m. The male decedent had sustained gunshot wounds. Based on the condition of the remains, this incident is being investigated as a homicide. The cause of death will be determined by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.

A Los Angeles County Coroner’s Investigator responded to the scene, recovered the decedent, and initiated a death investigation.

The investigation is on-going and there is no further information available at this time.
