Old Town Monrovia is about to get a few new parking spaces for veterans in the community. The city has been in discussions with Chuck Keene and the American Legion to install up to four Wounded Warrior Veteran parking spaces in Old Town.
The parking spaces will be marked with special signage and painted purple. The city has identified general locations for the parking spaces on Palm Avenue (between the Community Center and Library), on Lime Avenue (between the Library and the Lime Parking Lot), in front of City Hall, and one somewhere in the 400 block of Myrtle Avenue.
According to the city, these parking spaces are planned for installation within the next week or two.
