Monrovia High School (MHS) will hold a grand reopening of Wildcat Stadium on Friday at 6:45 p.m. during an event aimed to celebrate the work accomplished on the field and track over the summer. Monrovia Unified’s Board of Education will be accompanied by MHS administrators and representatives of Wildcat football, track and field, and soccer teams.
Following the celebration, the Wildcats will face Alta Loma High School in their first home game of the year with kickoff at 7 p.m.
Field improvements included re-leveling the field, new turf installation, upgrades to the rubber pellet infill to a cool-fill product and relocating communication boxes to outer parts of the field. The project ensures students and the community can enjoy the field for 10 to 15 more years.
