Fifth and sixth grade Immaculate Conception School (IC) students are participating in Camp Code. Students will explore coding, robotics, engineering, design, and hands on problem solving.
The program was funded by a generous donor and Bishop O’Connell recently stopped by to inspire these future leaders in technology.
When students return to school in September, they will be greeted by teachers ready for the new school year in refurbished classrooms complete with updated technology.
The STEM Lab will be ready—building on Camp Code offered this summer at the Monrovia YMCA. Immaculate Conception School would thanks the YMCA for providing space while the classrooms are being prepped. Robotics and coding are part of the STEM curriculum at IC (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) with emphasis on engineering and design.
Enrollment at Immaculate Conception is open now. An Open House is planned for early September.
