The Friends of the Monrovia Public Library are holding their annual Spring Book Sale during Monrovia Days in the Library Community Room. This is the perfect time to build up your home library while supporting library programs and collections. All proceeds from the book sale go to the Monrovia Public Library.
Spring Book Sale Hours:
All proceeds from the book store fund library programs and collections. Summer Reading, Veterans programs, the Makerspace Collection, and the Chinese Language Collection are just a handful of the items the Friends have supported over the years. The Friends of the Monrovia Public Library, established in 1957, have been raising funds and supporting the library for 52 years. The book store opened with the new library building in 2009 and is staffed by friendly and knowledgeable volunteers.
If you would like to support the Friends and the important work they do for the library and community, drop by and stock up on some of your favorite reads at the store or at the Spring Book Sale during Monrovia Days. You can also join the Friends; members receive special discounts and offers at the store. Membership rates start at $15 a year. The Friends of the Monrovia Public Library is a 501(c)(3) organization.
For more information, visit their website or stop by the Friends Book Store and pick up a membership application.
