Earlier this month at the Feb. 19 council meeting, the Pasadena Humane Society introduced its Pet of the Month, Tiger, a 14-month-old female bulldog. City Manager Oliver Chi in his weekly update announced that Tiger had found a new home in town. She captured the heart of a member of the council, Alex Blackburn.
“She is tailor made for me,” Blackburn said. “She is great.” He explained the dog had been adopted several times, but each time returned to the humane society.
“I have no idea why,” he said. “She is ideal.”
He said that he knew that he had found the right dog the night of the council meeting. “I went down the next morning to adopt her, in fact I had to call a client with whom I had an appointment that morning and ask her to meet me there,” he explained.
He said that it worked out well in that the client had an SUV and was able to assist him in getting his new roommate moved in.
