On Jan. 11 Pasadena Police arrested three men suspected of involvement in the commission of residential burglaries and receiving stolen property related to crimes committed in Pasadena since December of 2018.

Pasadena Burglary Detective Sid Abraham developed investigative leads from a residential burglary that occurred in December 2018. Detective Abraham’s investigation led patrol officers to a motel in the 3800 block of East Colorado Boulevard in the county area of Pasadena. Officers saw the suspect, Lorenzo Rincon, exiting a parked car and run to a motel room where additional occupants, including Rincon, were detained. Detectives responded to the motel and continued with their investigation.

During the investigation, officers recovered loss including stolen mail and documents from victims of residential burglaries that occurred in Pasadena since December 2018. Detectives suspect personal paperwork stolen during the residential burglaries was used in at least two identity theft cases. Detectives are investigating the suspects’ involvement in over 10 cases involving residential burglaries and identity theft.

On Tuesday, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office filed eight counts of first degree burglary against both Rincon and Andrew Resendez, a 27-year-old male from Pasadena. The arraignment for both suspects was set for Tuesday. Resendez’s preliminary hearing has been set for Jan. 30 and Rincon’s preliminary hearing has been set for Feb. 5. Their bail has been set at $475,000.00. Mark Arreola, 36-year-old suspect from Huntington Park, was arrested for receiving stolen property and released on a citation. No additional information is being released at this time since the police investigation is on-going.
