Matthew Munoz was located unharmed by Santa Barbara PD and has since been reunited with his family.

Munoz went missing when he walked away from a family member while at Westfield Santa Anita Mall, located at 400 S. Baldwin Ave. in Arcadia, on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2018 in the late afternoon. He had not been known to wander in the past.

Munoz was then seen by an Alhambra resident on Dec. 17. This resident took a photograph which the Munoz family later confirmed to be a photo of the missing person.

Munoz is a non-dependent adult who experiences short episodes where he acts “childlike” and then reverts back to a normal state of mind.
