City Manager Steve Mermell told Pasadena Independent Friday that there are three candidates that went through the final selection process for the coveted position of Pasadena Police Chief. One out of town candidate voluntarily withdrew at the eleventh hour. Over the next week the city manager will meet with the final candidates and hopefully a new chief will be in place by early January.
So the current applicants for the position are: Interim Chief John Perez, Commander Cheryl Moody and one who has yet to be identified publicly.
