Join the San Gabriel Valley Choral Company (SGVCC) on Dec. 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the Romanesque ambiance of historic St. Luke’s Episcopal Church (122 S. California Ave., Monrovia) for a moving choral concert featuring excerpts from George Frideric Handel’s masterpiece “Messiah,” featuring soloists, and chamber musicians, in the style Handel originally intended. Visiting Artistic Director Dr. David Rentz will lead.
At 6 p.m., before the concert, SGVCC will serve light refreshments so that concertgoers can enjoy a silent auction. Guests can bid on items such as tickets to amusements parks, concerts, museums, vouchers for restaurants, and hand crafted gifts.
At 7 p.m., don’t miss a pre-concert lecture, where you can learn more about the exciting and iconic choral work you are about to hear.
Tickets are $20 for general admission, $15 for seniors and students, and $5 for children under 12. Tickets may be purchased online at sgvccsingers.org or by sending checks payable to “SGVCC” to P.O. Box 2225 Monrovia, CA 91017. They will also be available at the door.
This concert is supported in part with funds received from the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Foundation and WesCom WeCare.
