The Taylor Performing Arts Center is hosting another professional production for the community this weekend: “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat” opens tonight and runs through Sunday. The retelling of the biblical story of Joseph, son of Jacob, and the jealousy of his eleven half-brothers is a fun, rollicking musical. It even features a chorus of Monrovia school children acting as a sort of Greek chorus throughout the production.
The delightfully upbeat story will have five performances: July 12, July 13, and July 14 at 8 p.m., July 15 at 5 p.m., and a special matinee performance at 2 p.m. on July 14. The regular price for tickets is $25 (VIP seats are available for each performance for $35) with reduced prices for seniors and students. The Saturday matinee is truly special as the tickets are only $10 for all seats with the exception of the reserved VIP seats. This is a great opportunity to take the entire family to live theater. The performance is lively enough to keep the attention of even the youngest theatergoer.
