The Arcadia Police Department’s Neighborhood Watch program, administered by the Community Affairs Office, aims to educate community residents regarding their roles and responsibilities in the prevention of crime and to encourage them to take active measures to prevent it.
The program calls upon residents to step forward and assist the police in organizing the community into a cohesive unit working toward the goal of building a safer, crime-free neighborhood. Neighborhood Watch groups discuss neighborhood crime problems with the objective of developing solutions to local problems. Arcadia Police Officers supply crime information to neighborhood watch organizations and instruct these groups in various crime prevention techniques.
As an Arcadia resident, the Neighborhood Watch program is an opportunity for all to take part in reducing crime in Arcadia and increasing safety by participating in neighborhood watch, increasing safety knowledge and awareness, and getting to know their neighbors and the neighborhood.
APD’s current campaign is “See Something – Say Something.” If there is unusual activity in the neighborhood, don’t wait to alert law enforcement, pick up the phone and call the Arcadia Police Department at (626) 574-5123 or Dial 9-1-1 immediately. Alert police to anything that may look suspicious. APD wants to ensure the safety of Arcadia residents, a call to alert an officer is the best way to report important information.
