View Winners → Parolee Flees From Pasadena PD; Suspect Arrested With Two Handguns


On March 4, at about 10:08 a.m., Pasadena Police officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near Orange Grove Boulevard and Los Robles Avenue. The driver abruptly stopped the vehicle, exited quickly, and fled on foot, leaving a passenger in the front seat of the car. Officers chased after the suspect and later elected to contain the area. During the field investigation, PPD officers learned that the suspect (Ronald Hopkins 27, Altadena resident) was armed with two handguns and on active parole. After several hours, the suspect was arrested without incident after he complied with the officer’s orders to surrender. The guns were recovered and Hopkins was booked at the Pasadena jail.
