Thanksgiving is a little off this year, and we are not talking about the food—grubbing is always the best part— but it feels pointless to celebrate and shop like nobodies business when there are people protesting for basic human rights (for the record, #nodapl). So this year, instead of shining light on the best deals, we searched high and low for the best events that aren’t just fun, but also gives back in some way— or at least doesn’t fall into those early morning mall visits. No matter what you end up doing, gather the fam and donate to a cause—it’s better than that 55 inch flat screen, swear.
