During the past several months, staff has been working with Metro representatives to examine the possibility of developing a joint use parking agreement with Metro for use of the Gold Line Parking Structure here in Monrovia. The proposed agreement would allow non-transit users to park in the Metro Gold Line Parking Structure during nights and weekends.

Based on our discussions to date, the city has received very favorable feedback that Metro would be amenable to developing such a joint use agreement. To that end, we have a meeting set-up with Metro representatives this upcoming week to further discuss the possibility of opening up the parking structure for general use during off-peak hours here in Monrovia. We will be sure to keep everyone apprised of the progress regarding this matter moving forward.
