Last February, Brad Dover was named interim fire chief, when former Chief Christ Donovan resigned to accept the position as Fire Chief in El Segundo.
City Manager Oliver Chi has announced that he is making that interim position permanent.
In making his intentions known in his city manager’s report last week, Chi wrote, “I have been beyond impressed with how he has approached the job, as he has served as a testament to our organizational mission and our values. Brad has demonstrated a deep commitment to Monrovia and his approach to people, his management style, his knowledge and abilities, and his dedication to our entire community have been evident in the decisions that he has made and the manner in which he has commanded our fire department.”
