Foothill Transit has added a new line, 196, just to make getting to the fair easier – and not only will people using the new line save the cost of parking, but they will also be able to buy discounted tickets.
The usual cost of entry to the fair is $20, but those who ride Line 196 will be able to purchase discounted tickets for just $12. The cost of the bus is only $1.25, but is reduced by 50 percent, if transferring from the train or another bus.
Line 196 will run during the fair from Sept. 2 through 25 on weekends and on Labor Day only.
There will be four stops for the line:
– The Azusa Intermodal Transit Center (Downtown Azusa Metro station)
– Azusa Pacific University/Citrus College at Foothill Boulevard and Citrus Avenue.
– Bonita and D Street, by the University of La Verne.
– The Pomona Fairplex.
The stop will be just outside the fairgrounds, but there will be a free shuttle to the entry.
