Southbound Irwindale Avenue, North of I-210 Freeway
New Caltrans signage is being installed north of the I-210 Freeway on Irwindale Avenue, as part of the 11.5-mile Foothill Gold Line light rail project from Pasadena to Azusa.
This work will require nighttime full closures of the southbound lanes on Irwindale Avenue, between Foothill Boulevard and the I-210 Freeway.
Closures will take place on weekday nights only, beginning the night of Monday, June 13, through the early morning of June 28.
Detours will be in place whenever all southbound Irwindale Avenue lanes are closed.
When construction activities allow, one lane in the southbound direction will remain open.
Monday night, June 13, at 8 p.m., through Tuesday morning, June 28, at 5 a.m.: Irwindale Avenue’s southbound lanes may be fully closed to traffic at night (weekday nights only).
Detour routes will be in place during full southbound lane closures and signage will be posted to direct motorists. Pedestrian access across the construction zone will be available. Access to all local businesses on Irwindale Avenue will remain open at all times during construction.
