The Field of Honor is a community-wide event to celebrate patriotism and honor those who have served our country. The Arcadia Rotary Club is sponsoring this tribute with the funds raised going to support local charities especially a veterans memorial in Arcadia.
The flags will be displayed in Arcadia County Park at the corner of Santa Anita Avenue and Huntington Drive from May 21 through May 29. Flags can be purchased for $50 each and will be on display all nine days of the event. Each flag will be beautifully displayed on an eight-foot pole and are available for purchase to honor someone special in your life who has served our country with distinction and/or is deeply special to you. With each flag there is a tag with which you can write a personal message for your honoree (up to 25 words). At the end of the event you can either take your flag or you can leave it, and it will be recycled and used in future years. Did I mention it is tax deductible too?
