With the $23 million Station Square Project near completion and the Gold Line expected to begin service in March, Monrovia Weekly got a sneak peek at the almost completed project last week.

The restoration of the historic Santa Fe Depot; however, will take a considerable amount of time once the details have been worked out on who will be doing the work, etc.

The new parking structure will hold at least 300 cars for motorists wishing to use the Gold in March and the surrounding landscaping is drought-tolerant.

One of the more unique features at Station Square will be the fountains near the Depot. Additionally, the kids’ play areas have, of course, toy trains to play on. We will have more details in next week’s issue.
