ReCap: LA CANVAS Gentleman’s Issue Release Party

Last week’s LA heat wave didn’t stop LA CANVAS friends, family, contributors, collaborators and co-conspirators from stepping out and into R Bar‘s Koreatown location for a jam-packed, flavorful Gentleman’s Issue release soirée. In laymen’s terms, tastemakers galore.

With DJ soundtracks by Val Fleury throughout the night and a rocked out performance by Beach Party, attendees enjoyed a mixture of musical selections and live music while gracing us with their presence—and the unique space—with Jack Daniels + Herradura inspired cocktails flowing, curated gift bags, passed appetizers and a straight up cigar rolling station stage left (the perfect gift idea for the gentleman in your lives if you ask us).

Ultimately, R Bar’s moody setting with rustic woods and dimly lit candles seemed to match the ethos of this man-focused issue, and when you mix in a loyal LA CANVAS crowd, you get nothing but a good time. Enjoy selections from our photo diary captured by Ron Pre:
