A Brush fire was first reported just after 2 p.m. Wednesday along Highway 39, near mile marker 21, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department officials.
The size of the fire was set initially at only a few acres, but winds picked up and pushed the fire up steep terrain.
A “full response” was summoned to the fire, including the two Super Scooper aircraft on lease to Los Angeles County from Quebec.
No structures are threatened at this time.
