A burglar stole jewelry with an estimated value of $118,000 from an apartment that was damaged in a fire last Friday evening:

Arcadia Police say the resident discovered the burglary in the 900 block of West Huntington Drive around 6:30 p.m. Monday evening.

A 59-year-old woman pulled from the adjacent burning apartment was critically injured.

Arcadia PD said the 38-year-old woman who lives in the smoke-damaged unit was last there around 5 p.m. Sunday. She returned Monday night and saw wood covering the front door had been pried opened and noticed the theft.
