DriveSmart System Gives Teens Chance t
A group of experienced and dedicated educators are introducing the DriveSmart System of driver training.
The DriveSmart System is a revolutionary, new way to teach young drivers how to drive well, without the stress. This radical change in the way motorists are trained arrives not a minute too soon.
There is little doubt that America is failing its children at all levels of education, and nowhere are the stakes higher than with driver’s education. While not being able to read will limit one’s career opportunities, not knowing how to drive will get lots of people killed.
Schools give diplomas to students who cannot read or write. Similarly, driving schools will give driving certificates to people who cannot drive. In driving instruction schools, the students are simply not taught more than just the basics of handling a car.
The evidence of this poor instruction comes from the Center for Disease Control, which reports that motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for U.S. teens. The risk of motor vehicle crashes is higher among 16- to 19-year olds than among any other age group.
Per mile driven, teen drivers ages 16 to 19 are nearly three times more likely than drivers aged 20 and older to be in a fatal crash. While there is no study that directly correlates the relationship between poor instruction and fatalities in teenage driving, it is reasonable to think that were the lessons about driving better, the accidents would be fewer.
Traditional driving schools are producing under-trained drivers who are creating a risk to everyone who must share the boulevards, avenues, and throughways with them. To reduce the danger inexperienced drivers bring to the road, the inventors of the DriveSmart System have reinvented driver’s training. The DriveSmart System of comprehensive, orderly, and systematic coaching produces drivers who are more than able to successfully travel behind the wheel, even with limited experience.
A teenager’s lack of experience behind the wheel is compounded when schools and instructors take shortcuts with instruction. “We cannot fault the teen driver for his or her lack of experience, but we can certainly fault those who intentionally shortchange them when it comes to sound driving instruction,” said El Shami. He is a professional educator and driver’s training instructor. DriveSmart was created to address the failure of driving schools and empower new divers with critical skills.
The DriveSmart System breaks down every phase of driving, even the most difficult and challenging lessons of driving, into short, easy-to-learn commands that anyone can learn in any language. Parents are also included in the training. The DriveSmart System teaches more skills in far less time while making the process more enjoyable for students. The DriveSmart System will change the way people experience learning to drive.
A crowdfunding campaign has been set up at http://www.gofundme.com/drivesmartfund.
Contributions to the campaign will be used for further development of the system. They will also go towards nationwide implementation and public exposure.
DriveSmart offers a new standard in driver training education for students, parents, and instructors. Based on 20 years of experience, refined into simple and proven techniques, DriveSmart has helped thousands achieve the highest level of driving skills. Mike El Shami is a professional educator and founder of the DriveSmart method.
