An investigation is underway after a man was found shot to death in the middle of the street near his home in Pasadena early Friday morning.
The victim: Joe McMahon, 25 from his Facebook page
Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies from the Temple Station responded to the 3600 block of Yorkshire Road in Chapman Woods after receiving a call about multiple shots fired.
When deputies arrived, they found a 25-year-old man on the street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Neighbors identified the man as Joe McMahon, 25 but officials refused to release the identity of the victim pending official notification of next of kin.
LASD said he lived just one driveway away from where his body was found. There was no indication that he had any gang ties, and authorities do not believe drugs were involved.

Investigators said the victim left his house shortly before the shooting after hearing a disturbance. A motive was not known.
Witnesses said they heard gunshots and the sound of a car speeding away. The only description available of that car was that it was a compact vehicle..
There was a deputy-involved shooting on the same street last week, but detectives indicate that incident was not connected to Friday’s shooting.
